Dear Wildwood Families,

We had an amazing time celebrating the Olympics at Wildwood!  Students had a blast with our torch walk and the biathlon during recess! Thank you to all of our volunteers who came to help! Students had fun earning medals and participating in a variety of Olympic events. It was a joy to see the students come together with excitement to show teamwork and positive sportsmanship.  Students worked hard to be kind, helpful, and safe.

Some of the highlights included bobsledding, knee hockey, and figure skating. We were lucky enough to stream the Olympics live on the Lu while we played.  We had many requests to share the mop socks that we used for figure skating, so they could get them for home.  The mop socks were purchased on Amazon and left the gym floor sparkly clean.

Here is a little video of some of the fun we had.

K-5 Family Input Form for 2026-27 School Year

Although teacher requests are not considered, if you have specific information about your child that should be taken into consideration, please complete this form.  This form is optional.

Previous family input forms do not carry over from year to year. Additionally, information that comes in after the deadline will be more difficult to consider since the placement process will have already started. Please consider sharing academic interests and abilities, emotional and behavioral development, e.g., social awareness or interpersonal skills, and any additional information you think would help us plan for your child.

This is due March 31, 2026.  Note: all of this information is confidential and only shared with Mr. Briske and Ms. Prather.

Kindergarten's 100th Day of School

Recently, our kindergarten students celebrated their 100th day of school! The kindergartners counted to 100, enjoyed a special 100-day snack, and participated in fun games and activities centered around the number 100. We are so proud of all the hard work they’ve shown over these first 100 days.

1st Grade's 101st Day of School

Our first graders had a paws-itively amazing time celebrating the 101st day of first grade! They embraced a fun dalmatian theme as students made adorable puppy hats and enjoyed a variety of exciting 101-day activities. From creative projects to hands-on learning fun, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of spotted spirit!

Dress Up Day

In celebration of Read Across America this Wednesday, students and staff dressed in bright beautiful colors!

Math Work

First Grade Field Trip to MIA

This winter, first graders participated in the Art Adventure Program through the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), organized in partnership with our PTO. In January, dedicated volunteers visited classrooms to lead engaging art lessons centered around the theme “Let’s Celebrate Life.” Students explored five works of art from around the world, discovering the many ways people commemorate important moments and milestones in their lives.

This week, our first grade classes had the exciting opportunity to visit Mia and see some of these artworks in person. Experiencing the art up close brought their learning to life and deepened their appreciation for how cultures across the globe celebrate special times.

Second Grade Field Trip to Chautauqua Fine Arts Center

Our second grade students recently visited the high school to watch the middle school’s production of Frozen Jr. It was an impressive performance by a very talented group of young actors, and a wonderful experience for all.
