Zephyr Zone & Student Expectations

Please review the expectations and information for K-8 students attending MHS Football games.

Mahtomedi K-8 families and Middle School students,
My name is Aaron Forsythe, and I’m the Associate Principal of Activities and Athletics at Mahtomedi High School (MHS). We love having our Zephyr community attend our high school events throughout the year. We know students at Mahtomedi Public Schools enjoy being a part of our events, and we want you to have the information about attending these events, as well as our behavior expectations for all students.

We want our athletic events to be safe and celebratory for everyone involved. Below, please review our behavior expectations as well as information about attending our MHS events.

At the Homecoming football game on September 19 and the football game on October 3, we will have a special seating area called the Zephyr Zone for students in Grades 3-8.

Go Zephyrs!

About the Zephyr Zone

  • Students in grades 3-8 must be in the Zephyr Zone or with a chaperone while attending the football games on September 19 and October 3.

  • Students in the Zephyr Zone must remain seated when in the bleachers, use kind words, and respect the game by refraining from throwing bottles or trash.

  • Students not following the behavior expectations, of any age, will be made to leave the game without a refund, and will have their chaperone called.

  • If you volunteer to be a chaperone for students, your cell phone number will be called when there are behavior violations.

Know

Entering the Game

  • All students and chaperones must have tickets to enter the game.

  • Students in grades K-8 must enter the game with a paid adult chaperone.

  • Chaperones must remain on-site during the game and will be contacted if their children are not following behavior expectations.

  • Students in grades K-2 must sit with their chaperone in the stands.

  • Your phone is your ticket. Do not click “USE TICKET” until directed by a staff member at the gate.

  • Leave backpacks, outside food and drink, and all sports equipment at home.

Do

Before the Game

  • Purchase tickets in advance to avoid lines (cash is not accepted at the gate) via Go Zephyrs (scroll to event and click buy tickets).

  • Remind your child to follow the same behavior expectations we have at school about being respectful and responsible, and following the directions of all adults.

  • Transfer purchased tickets using the GoFan transfer feature (screenshots will not work).
