Zephyr Service Project

Our district-wide service project runs now until December 5, 2025 and provides gift assistance for students in need at Mahtomedi Public Schools.

Donations for Gift Assistance

Each Mahtomedi school plays a part in creating holiday gift packages for students filled with books, toys, clothing, gift cards, and more. All gifts are wrapped and combined to create complete, personalized packages. See below for each school’s collection items.

Early Childhood, Preschool, and Wildwood Elementary School Students and Staff: New Children's and Young Adult Books. Click here to purchase books on the Amazon wishlist.

O.H. Anderson Elementary School Students and Staff: New Toys and Puzzles

Mahtomedi Middle School Students and Staff: Financial Donations/Ka$h 4 Kidz (students can bring cash or checks to their Middle School Success class; checks should be made out to Mahtomedi Middle School) MMS students will be shopping for clothes, pajamas, blankets, and non-toy needs.

Mahtomedi High School and Passages Students and Staff: Gift Cards for Young Adults (Drop off in front office and note the donation is for the Zephyr Service Project)

District-Wide Staff: Gift Wrap and Gift Bags (Drop off at the Mahtomedi District Education Center)

How to Receive Gift Assistance

Families can apply for gift assistance via this Google Form until December 5. Gifts will be distributed to families on December 18 and 19.

The Impact of the Zephyr Service Project

In 2024, we helped over 100 Mahtomedi students with gift assistance with donations that included over 300 books, over 270 toys, over $6,000 collected to purchase clothes, pajamas, blankets, and non-toy needs, over $1,200 in gift cards for teenage children, and over 50 rolls of gift wrap!

Here are a few of the messages that our families who received gifts shared with us:
