Mahtomedi voters approve both referendum questions

Mahtomedi Families and Staff,

On November 4, the Mahtomedi Public Schools ISD 832 community voted on a referendum that included two questions: one for operating revenue and one for facility improvements. Question one passed: 63.97% to 36.03%, and Question two passed: 59.16% to 40.84%. Election results by precinct can be viewed on theMinnesota Secretary of State’s website.

We are incredibly grateful to our community for investing in the future of Mahtomedi students. Throughout this process, we committed to clear communication, factual information, and meaningful engagement; values that reflect who we are. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, ask questions, and engage in the conversations.

We especially want to thank our families, staff, students, and community members who took the time to connect with families and neighbors about the referendum. We are united in our commitment to ensuring that students receive an excellent education in safe, innovative schools.

This vote helps us advance excellence and build the future together. This funding allows us to keep class sizes manageable, offer enriching academic programs, and protect long-term financial stability; commitments that will guide our budgeting and planning. As we move into the design and planning phases for facilities improvements, we will provide regular updates and opportunities for engagement. We remain committed to transparency and partnership as we bring these projects to life.

Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your shared belief in what’s possible when we put students first.
