This school year, you will be able to find all the eNews archives in one place here: www.mahtomedi.k12.mn.us/enews This is also linked on all the family and student sections of our web pages.
Our school-level eNews will start on September 12, and the school-level archive will begin at that time.
The Fall 2024 Catalog opens on August 7. You'll be able to find the new catalog and register for classes on the Mahtomedi Eleyo website here: https://mahtomedi.ce.eleyo.com/

Filing for the Mahtomedi School Board opens on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 7:30am and closes Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Filing days, except the final day are during normal business hours- no weekends.

Learning has been continuing with our summer academic programming. Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools held All Stars July 9-August 1, three days a week, Mahtomedi Middle School held summer school July 9-August 1 three times a week, and Mahtomedi High School summer school ran from June 12-July 3.

Mahtomedi Alum Competing at Olympics ⭐️
Congratulations to Anunwa (Nuni) Omot Mahtomedi High School alum (Class of 2013), who is playing basketball on the South Sudan team at the Olympic Games in Paris!
The International Basketball Federation reported, "Nuni Omot made history on Sunday by scoring South Sudan's opening basket in their first game of the Paris 2024 Men's Basketball Tournament - the first-ever points in Olympics action for the debutants. Omot cut to the basket and was fouled by Puerto Rico's George Conditt at the 8:19 minute mark. He then stepped to the free throw line and made both free throws to make it 8-2 for Puerto Rico in the Group C opener." The full Olympic basketball schedule is here. ⭐️Mahtomedi Student Wins Gold for the United States: Congratulations to Mahtomedi High School Class of 2025 student Evan McGuire, who recently won Gold for the United States in Greco-Roman Wrestling at the 2024 U17 Pan American Championships held in the Dominican Republic. Evan will participate in the World Championships in Amman, Jordan, in August 2024. Read more about the competition here.
⭐️Mahtomedi Harris Brothers Recognized for Leadership: Three brothers from Mahtomedi Public Schools, Cameron (Class of 2027), Samuel (Class of 2025), and William Harris (Class of 2023) were recognized by the Mahtomedi School Board for their outstanding leadership. The Harris brothers started their own nonprofit organization called the 3 Harris Brothers (3HB) Courage Club to help people, especially kids, give back to their community through service projects. ⭐️Mahtomedi Alumna, Creative Visionary at Target, Shares Career Expertise with MHS Students. Behind the engaging and joyful Target commercials and social content is the creative mind of Alli Koch, Mahtomedi High School Class of 2006 alumna. Ms. Koch met with MHS students this year and shared her career expertise. Read about the visit here.
⭐️Mahtomedi Elementary Students Spread Kindness to Those Experiencing Homelessness During O.H. Anderson Elementary School’s annual Passion Day, Reading Specialists Lorie Kaehler and Cassandra Gralish hosted a blanket-making activity for Blankets of Hope. Blankets of Hope is an educational nonprofit that helps students practice empathy & kindness by donating blankets and handwritten letters to people experiencing homelessness. The Mahtomedi Elementary PTO (MPTO) is hosting Popsicles in the Park at the Wildwood Playground on August 8th at 6 pm. Come meet other elementary families and enjoy a summer treat!
