District News

Advancing Excellence. Building the Future.

This overview video explains the upcoming Mahtomedi Public Schools referendum on November 4, 2025. It outlines the two questions, an operating levy and a facilities bond, and provides background on why they are on the ballot. Watch to learn more, see how the proposals connect to district priorities, and hear from district leaders, together with a teacher’s perspective.

Operating Levy: The operating levy question supports high-quality teaching and learning. It helps Mahtomedi Public Schools maintain class sizes, offer excellent academic programs, and ensure long-term financial stability.

Facilities Bond: The proposed facilities bond would allow Mahtomedi Public Schools to proactively address critical infrastructure and learning environment improvements to ensure our schools remain safe, healthy, and future-ready for years to come. Projects include safety and security district-wide, critical infrastructure updates, modern learning spaces, ADA Fine Arts updates, and athletic updates, including a turf field and weight room improvements

The passage of Question 2 is dependent on the approval of Question 1.

The Mahtomedi school community will be celebrating 2025 Homecoming the week of September 15-19. This is a great time to celebrate our current student body and honor our graduates. We hope you’ll join us for events throughout the week and at the end of the week for the parade and football game. As a reminder, children should be supervised during the parade and at the football game. We want Homecoming to be a safe celebration for all of our community members!

The Homecoming Parade is on September 19 and starts at 4:30 pm. Visitors can line up at the southwest corner of the Yellow lot tennis courts or along the route by the middle and high schools. If your team, club, or group would like to participate in the parade, please complete this form.
