Each month, Principal Jackie Collins spotlights learning happening at Mahtomedi Middle School. This month, the Principal's spotlight focuses on Leadership.
We work hard at MMS to provide students with a variety of opportunities to step into leadership roles. For some, it is serving as a member of Student Council and and doing things such as: helping to raise money to shop for families in our community or planning Spirit Days and serving hot chocolate to staff during Winter Wonderland week. For others, it is filling coffee orders from our staff through the Cares Cafe program. And for others, it is visiting 6th graders as 8th-grade WEB Leaders to make sure they have the best transition and 6th-grade experience possible. Middle School is such a rich time of exploration and we are grateful to have the opportunity to allow students to stretch different muscles to find the things that make them excited to learn.
