Principal's Spotlight on Learning

Each month, Principal Jackie Collins spotlights learning happening at Mahtomedi Middle School. This month, the Principal's spotlight focuses on Personal Success

Support and Consistency for Personal Success

At Mahtomedi Middle School, we strive to provide students with a variety of opportunities to explore different subjects and activities to see what might spark an interest as they grow and develop. While trying new things comes easy for some students, it's a bit harder for others to step out of their comfort zones. We know that support and encouragement are important to students' success at these key moments, whether they take place in the classroom, on the stage, or on the court or field.

All of our staff are committed to engaging with and encouraging each student as they learn more about themselves and the things that they are gifted in as well as the things that they may struggle with. One key group of staff members who provide a unique kind of consistency throughout each Middle School student's journey at MMS is our Counselors. They follow students through all three years at MMS, giving them the ability to get to know students' needs, gifts, challenges, and goals to help them navigate the many opportunities in front of them. Success looks different for everyone and we are proud of the many ways that our staff works to provide encouragement, support, and consistency for each of our students to guide them to their own personal success on their Middle School journey.

Go Zephyrs!

Performances are:

Friday, 2/28 at 7:00pm

Saturday, 3/1 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm

Sunday, 3/2 at 2:00pm
