MMS Students

Mahtomedi Middle School (MMS) Families,

We want to thank you for another great year of athletics and secondary enrichment opportunities at MMS! Every activity at Mahtomedi Community Education is designed to help students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to reach their personal goals. Whether they’re exploring new passions, developing life skills, or participating in team sports, these experiences create meaningful opportunities for students to connect, grow, and thrive outside the classroom.

As we look ahead to summer at MMS, we are proud to offer new opportunities in our Summer 2025 Community Education Catalog! Browse, register, and learn more on Eleyo. For our families who have students transitioning to Mahtomedi High School, be sure to check out our high school enrichment opportunities.

We would love to hear from you! What opportunities would you like to see available for your students? We are always looking for new ways to improve our programs! Suggest an idea here.

Cooking Club Showcase

Zephyr Cooking Club Showcase

The MMS Zephyr Cooking Club recently wrapped the year on a high note with its final showcase. After months of challenging themselves in the kitchen, growing their cooking and baking skills, and attending enriching field trips, including to Feed My Starving Children, the Mahtomedi Area Food Shelf, the Indigenous Food Lab, and the Asia Mall, our students had the opportunity to share what they’ve learned with their friends and family.

Students shared about their experience in the club, received awards for their accomplishments and amazing attitudes throughout the school year, and served homemade dishes they had prepared earlier that day to their loved ones. Click here to see photos and behind-the-scenes moments from the event.

Zephyr Show Stoppers

Showstoppers Club Wraps Up Year

The Mahtomedi Community Education club, Zephyr Show Stoppers, recently attended their final performance of the year: The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie, directed by Tracy Brigden at the Guthrie Theater. The 2024-25 Show Stoppers season featured memorable shows, including Back to the Future at the Orpheum, a visit from the Comedy Sportz Improv Group at Mahtomedi High School (MHS), The Little Mermaid at the Ordway, and Grease at Chanhassen Theater.

Show Stoppers is open to students at MMS and MHS and aims to expose students to various theatrical performances around the Twin Cities. The club consistently reaches maximum enrollment and boasts a dedicated group of returning students. For many of them, who also participate in theater at MMS and MHS, Show Stoppers is a meaningful way to connect further with their love of theater. Click here to see photos from their trip to the Guthrie!

Stay tuned for our Fall Catalog to register for the 2025-26 season of Showstoppers!
