Middle School Youth Night is back this spring with the them Candyland, which was recently chosen by Student Council!

MMS Band Lessons

MMS band students, are you interested in receiving extra guidance on your instrument? Second semester private band lessons are available now!

Mahtomedi Community Education partners with knowledgeable instructors to offer these lessons as a valuable extension of the band experience.

How to register:
After contacting and scheduling lessons with one of our instructors (contact information here), submit your registration through Eleyo.

Middle School Service Field Trip

Zephyr Cooking Club Service Field Trip

Mahtomedi Middle School students in Zephyr Cooking Club recently turned a no-school day into a meaningful day of service.

Through a service learning field trip with Mahtomedi Community Education, students walked to Encore Assisted Living and Memory Care and spread joy by delivering cookies and tea, sharing conversations with residents, and decorating together for the holidays. Click here for a behind-the-scenes look.

Career Exploration Through Virtual Reality

On a recent no-school day, students stepped inside the Big Ideas Virtual Reality Mobile Learning Lab through Mahtomedi Community Education and explored skilled trades like welding, painting, and heavy equipment operation.

Girls Flag Football 

We’re excited to announce a new Middle School Girls Flag Football Team in partnership with the Mahtomedi High School State Champion Girls Flag Football Team and Coaches! This is a great opportunity for middle school students to learn and play under the guidance of experienced champions and passionate coaches.

Zephyr Show Stoppers:
West Side Story

Zephyr Show Stoppers Club gives secondary students the opportunity to attend different theatrical performances at award-winning theater venues! Join us at Bethel University to see West Side Story, the classic tale inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Registration cost includes ticket and chaperone.

Hearts and Hot Cocoa:
Mini Pillow Workshop

Get ready for a cozy, creative afternoon! In this hands-on class, students will design and sew their own mini heart-shaped pillows and then bring them to life with embroidery!

Snowshoe Adventure

Strap on some snowshoes and step into a winter adventure! During this fun, winter excursion, students will learn to snowshoe the area around the middle and high school, hang out with friends, and learn about the history of snowshoeing! Snowshoes will be provided.

Clay Creation Making

During this clay-filled afternoon, students will use polymer clay to design and create 4-5 pieces of art! 

Students will create magnets, jewelry, or keychains! All materials are provided for an interactive afternoon.
