Fall is in full swing! We have loved seeing our learners try new classes and experiences over the last month. Check out our registration website Eleyo to browse our upcoming fall programs!
In this video, hear from Adam Gemuenden, Facilities & Maintenance Manager at Mahtomedi Public Schools, and learn more about the projects included in the referendum. If approved, the facilities bond would improve safety, security, and learning spaces across the district, including secure entrances, critical HVAC upgrades, and updates to reduce hallway crowding and modernize learning spaces. The passage of Question 2 is contingent upon the passage of Question 1.

Early Voting and Absentee Voting are terms that are used interchangeably. All eligible Minnesota voters can vote early, either in person or by mail, without needing to provide a reason. Early voting is a great option for busy families! Click here for times and locations.

Over the summer, Mahtomedi Community Education hosted a community garage sale to raise money for youth scholarships. We received donations from over 100 families and had over 200 people visit the sale!
The impact didn’t stop at youth scholarships. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, leftover items from the event were donated throughout our community. Click here for a behind-the-scenes look at how we continued to give back to our community.
Laughter, harp music, and the joy of community filled the room at our October Community Lunch! Local harpist Laurie Leigh set the tone with soothing melodies, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of connection and conversation.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers and the over 30 community members who joined us for a great meal and engaging conversation! We love seeing friends, neighbors, and familiar faces come together to celebrate the simple joy of being together. Click here to see photos from the heartwarming event.

Josie Schifsky, a Mahtomedi High School Class of 2026 student, embodies the Communicator qualities of the Mahtomedi Portrait of a Graduate by listening with empathy, expressing ideas clearly, and helping others learn through connection.
Josie first picked up volleyball the summer before middle school. Now, she’s come full circle, coaching our middle school volleyball team through Mahtomedi Community Education and guiding students who are just starting their own journeys.
