Mahtomedi Alumna Inspires Future Bakers |
Elouise Suoja (Mahtomedi High School Class of 2021) was first introduced to baking in a food class at Mahtomedi Middle School nearly a decade ago. This class, where she still remembers making mini donuts for her finals, inspired a lifelong passion.
Elouise recently returned to the place where she first found her passion—this time as an instructor—to teach cake decorating to middle school students through Mahtomedi Community Education. Click here to read this full-circle story! |

Sourdough 101 Inspires Lifelong Hobby |
We recently held our first-ever Sourdough 101 class, and we saw community members dive right into this lifelong hobby. They received expert instruction from sourdough expert Rachel Jordan in everything from the science of maintaining sourdough starter to the hands-on technical skills of baking bread.
One of our participants walked us through a day in the life of this hands-on class. Click here for a behind-the-scenes look!
Want to join us next time? Look for Sourdough 101 in our summer catalog, coming early March! |

Preschool Students Tour Custodian Office
|
Students in Ms. Anna’s preschool class recently took a field trip just down the hall to the custodian’s office to meet Wildwood Elementary School’s head custodian, Mr. Dan!
During the tour, Mr. Dan showed students how he helps keep the school warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Our youngest learners listened closely as he explained how the boiler and fans work to keep everyone comfortable.
Thank you, Mr. Dan, for sharing your work and making our preschoolers’ day! Click here to see photos from this sweet field trip. |

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We love how this event brings together skaters of all levels to enjoy community and time outside together. Click here for a behind-the-scenes look! |
