The Mahtomedi Middle School Youth Night is approaching on February 28, and Mahtomedi Community Education could use your volunteer help! If you are willing to share some of your time, please complete the volunteer form. There are several shifts available, so you don't have to stay the whole time. For example, 2-2:40, 2:30-3:30, 3:30-4:30, and 4:30-5:15 pm. MHS students are also welcome to help volunteer and should complete this student volunteer form. Thanks so much for considering and helping us be able to have such a fun and special event for our middle school students!
We are grateful for our Mahtomedi Community Education instructors and proud of the classes and opportunities they share with our community! Click the names of the instructors below to learn more about them and the classes they offer!
We are working collaboratively with Mahtomedi Public Schools to advance the strategic plan. Here is one way we are supporting high school students with career and life skills!

Business/Organization Volunteers: Whether you're looking to recruit dedicated interns, employees, or volunteers, this fair is your chance to build meaningful connections with MHS students.
Community Volunteers: We are also seeking volunteers to share their time reviewing student resumes, providing tips, and answering student questions on interviewing or other preparation ideas.
This event is organized by Mahtomedi Public Schools and Mahtomedi Community Education.
Mahtomedi Ski Club: Exploring Interests & Building Connections
A Mahtomedi Community Education Ski Club that is close to 50 years old gives students an opportunity to explore downhill skiing while at the same time building connections with their peers and adult chaperones. This winter, the Club meets for four Friday nights at Trollhaugen. Students can choose to ski or snowboard, and the registration includes transportation, a lift ticket, and adult supervision. Alongside the students on the slopes are older students, who provide leadership and help students explore the sport. Paul Beggin, a Middle School School Counselor, started the Club with Mahtomedi Community Education in 1976. Click here to learn more and see photos of Ski Club in action this year.
Service & Fun
On the January 24 no-school day, our Mahtomedi Middle School Cooking Club students spent their day on a field trip opportunity through Mahtomedi Community Education. Click here to see all the fun photos! The students started their day at Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen and packed meals that will be sent to Zambia. The students helped pack 67 boxes which is 14,472 meals! After their service project, students visited the Asia Mall in Eden Prairie and tried foods like Boba tea, Mochi donuts, roasted duck, and chicken feet. The last dates of Cooking Club for the 2024-25 school year are March 5 and 26; registration is available here.
MAC Students Surpass Their Sock Donation Goal
Congratulations to our Mahtomedi Adventure Club (MAC) childcare program students who exceeded their sock donation goal this month, collecting three times their goal! We are thankful to our students for supporting our community with this service project! Wildwood Elementary School MAC students collected 338 pairs, while O.H. Anderson Elementary School MAC students gathered 318 pairs. These socks were donated to St. Andrew's Community Resource Center, which will directly benefit individuals in need in our Mahtomedi Community. Socks are the most needed and least-donated piece of clothing. This collection is an important way our students are making a meaningful impact in our community! The Summer 2025 Mahtomedi Adventure Club childcare program registration opens at 8 am on February 19.
